The Canadian Geoparks Network (CGN) is a national committee that was formed in 2009  under the auspices of the Canadian Federation of Earth Sciences (CFES) to address the need for coordination of Global Geopark applications from Canada.

If your community is interested in pursuing geopark designation please contact Frances Heydeman, Chair of the CGN and/or one of the 5 geoparks in Canada.  Reaching out will provide you an opportunity to review this process and have a good understanding of the deliverables.
